Despite the pandemic’s many challenges, new restaurants continue opening across metro Atlanta. While some of these restaurants are open for dine-in service, many establishments are placing greater emphasis on patios and outdoor seating options, as well as takeout and delivery. Of course, there are many different types of cuisine to choose from in Atlanta’s vast international landscape. With that being said, take a look at our 3 suggestions below and start your food journey from there.

Delbar Middle Eastern – 870 Inman Village Parkway, Northeast Suite 1, Atlanta, GA 303307

Delbar, owned by former Rumi’s Kitchen manager Fares Kargar, opened in the former Daily Tavern space on Inman Village Parkway over the summer of 2020. The menu focuses on Persian, Turkish, and Israeli entrees and shared plates, making for the perfect date night meal. While the restaurant is open for dine-in service and patio seating, takeout is also available for patrons who rather dine from the comfort of their apartment home.

Mukja Korean Fried Chicken – 933 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 951, Atlanta, GA 30309

Founded by two longtime friends, Peter Chung and Sean Chang, Mukja Korean Fried Chicken in Midtown fuses Korean flavors and ingredients into its wings and fried chicken. Expect wings at this counter-service restaurant paired with pickled radishes and your choice of sauces, including Korean sweet heat. There’s also heartwarming dishes, such as chicken and waffles infused with garlic, jalapeños, scallions, and honey butter, and delectable sides, like kimchi mac and cheese.

Lake & Oak – 2358 Hosea L Williams Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30317

Located across the street from Perc Coffee in East Lake, the new Southern barbecue restaurant from chefs Todd Richards and Josh Lee pays homage to “classic BBQ techniques.” Meats at Lake and Oak are smoked using a combination of charcoal and white oak and pecan woods. The menu features rib tips and a half and whole slabs of ribs, smoked wings, a half-smoked chicken, and brisket, along with sides like Brussel sprouts and cabbage slaw, collard green fried rice, and smoked mac and cheese.
